This September, all roads lead to Brisbane! Celebrate Brisbane Festival 2013 from September 7-28. Enjoy the spectacle of acclaimed international and Australian artists and productions, free outdoor events, cutting edge theatre, dance, music and more.

Brisbane festival is set to delight and inspire the crowd. With a diverse programme featuring dance, theatre, opera, classical music, circus, sideshow and contemporary music, the Festival will captivate audiences young and old.

Don’t miss the Santos GLNG City of Lights. Be dazzled by an incredible laser light show with special effects. See the skyline awash with brilliant color. This nightly free show has a dynamic soundtrack, cascading water and an exciting new live performance element.

The Spiegeltent will be the venue for some of the awesome performances in store. Showcasing the best in pop, rock, hip-hop, family entertainment, jazz, comedy, and the much-anticipated cabaret show, La Soiree, catch unforgettable shows at the Spiegeltent.

Opera Queensland and Queensland Symphony Orchestra come together and create a memorable free outdoor opera spectacular on Brisbane’s Riverstage. To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Giuseppe Verdi’s birth, soprano Cheryl Barker joins Kang Wang, Emily Burke, Douglas McNicol, Andrew Collis and the mighty Opera Queensland Chorus in a passionate concert performance conducted by Simon Kenway.

Witness Australia’s leading taiko drumming group, TaikOz, together with leading Melbourne Producer, DJ M-Royce, to present TaikoDeck.

Imagine taiko drums, traditional Japanese bamboo flutes, bells, gongs and cymbals creating a symphony of dynamic rhythmic sound. The contrast between strong-armed dynamics and finesse on the more delicate instruments in the TaikOz arsenal makes for a spellbinding experience.

Untapped is another can’t-miss event. Australia’s most gifted tap dancers set the stage on fire with an exhilarating combination of tap, acrobatics, funk and rock. Untapped promises high-energy dance and live music. The performance will feature London Beat boxing Champion Jonny Grant.

The Festival will be held in various venues in Brisbane including The Spiegeltent, Brisbane Powerhouse, South Bank, QPAC, Riverstage, Brisbane City Hall and more. If you are planning to attend the festival, you may book your accommodation at our Brisbane Corporate Apartments.
